What we fund

Catalyst donors can trust their tax deductible gifts will be used to enhance the quality of education for Kansas City Public Schools (KCPS) students. Our funding model gives priority to activities that empower KCPS administrators and those closest to the classroom – teachers, principals, therapists and counselors – to make a measurable impact on academic achievement. Catalyst does not award grants for capital improvements or other expenses that clearly fall within the responsibility of KCPS.
